Paracriminal is a fast-paced single-player stealth-action game where you play a thief who harnesses ghost powers to steal coins and slip past guards. I built it with Studio Bugli— Amulya Gundlapally, Helen Liang, and Himari Tamura — and it placed 3rd overall at the UM Student Game Showcase.

  • Enemy AI— detection logic, movement patterns, vision and hearing systems, and the idle → suspicious → chase state machine.
  • Scriptwriting for the entire game, and directing our professional voice actor, Aben Korkoyah.
  • Audio— sound-effect implementation and balancing.
  • Level designthrough enemy placement and spawning, tuning player–enemy interactions.
  • Animation rigging for game objects.
  • Cutscene art direction, coordinating with game artist Clara Liao.
  • Ghost model direction, coordinating with modeler Jack Chen.
  • Playtesting and iteration.
